The Armenian Missionary Association of Canada (AMAC) is pleased to report that the “Our Kids Got Talent” closing ceremony was held on December 10 to the delight and appreciation of the parents and friends in attendance.

The 19 children who participated in the 4-session “Effective Communication, Successful Children” program delighted their parents as they received their “Certificates of Participation;” inspired the audience with their Christmas carols and captivated those in attendance with a play entitled “Sarah discovers Christmas Joy.”

Salpi Nercessian, the program director, shared the key communication lessons that she taught the children and the educational methods that she used to captivate, thrill and teach the children.

The event participants watched the action-packed program pictures. They were amused seeing the children attentively listening to the animated instructions, fully engaged in the games and mesmerized by the 4-part story.

On behalf of AMAC President, Raffi Shnorhokian, Harout Nercessian talked about and showed pictures of the AMAA-AMAC Yeprem and Zabel Basmadjian Kindergarten in Askeran, Artsakh. He informed that many of the children had lost family members, homes and income sources to the 2020 Artsakh war. They deserve all the love and compassion that we can provide. He appealed the participants for generous donations in support of the kindergarten and its children.

The event closed with a bake sale of donated homemade goods whose proceeds were directed to the Basmadjian Kindergarten.

AMAC thanks all the ladies who lovingly donated the baked goods and helped make the event a success. We also thank Salpi Nercessian and her team for organizing the 4-session program and this delightful commencement event.

AMAC also thanks all those generously donated in support of the Askeran Kindergarten.
