On November 12, 2023, the Armenian Evangelical Church of Montreal held an AMAA-AMAC Sunday. Harout Nercessian, AMAA Representative in Canada delivered the sermon, entitled “Rejected Worship” based on Isaiah 1:10-20, highlighting God’s view that worship becomes meaningful only when the worshippers stand up for and assist the helpless, the neglected and the marginalized.
Following the service, in the social hall, Harout Nercessian made a 20-minute presentation, giving an overview of the work of the AMAA and the AMAC in Armenia, the Middle East and around the globe.
The AMAA Representative expressed his gratitude to the congregation for their recent generous support to the people of Artsakh who were forced to leave their homes. He also explained the organization’s strategy to help them in the short, mid and long term.
Following the presentation, many approached the AMAA table to ask questions, obtain flyers, sponsor children and make donations.
