With great sadness, the Armenian Missionary Association of Canada informs its members and friends of the loss of Mrs. Alice Bizdikian-Mardirossian who left this earthly life, moving on to her eternal rest, on Monday June 29.

In honor of Mrs. Bizdikian’s memory, we present you the biography of Mrs. Bizdikian-Mardirosian, kindly sent to us by her loved ones.

Alice Bizdikian-Mardirossian was born in Athens, Greece on December 25, 1933. She was the daughter of Vartan and Ogen (Eugenie) Mardirossian. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her home in Laval, Quebec, Canada.

Alice was the devoted wife of Rev. Jerair Bizdikian and a loving mother to her four children John, Samuel, Ruth and Dikran (Richard), loving mother-in-law to Kiky Bizdikian Papadopoulos (wife to Samuel) and Marco Cortina (husband to Ruth) and a loving grandmother to her five grandchildren, Jessica Alice,  Melissa, Cassandra, Giuliano Jerair, and Alexander Vartan. She leaves behind two sisters, Ovsanna Bayerian (and her niece Kohar and nephew Hagop) and Mari Mardirossian.

Following his retirement from teaching English language in high schools and colleges in Montreal. Rev. Jerair Bizdikian responded to calls from different churches as an interim minister. Alice always accompanied her husband everywhere as “yeretsgin Alice” in Chicago, Boston at Armenian Memorial Church and First Armenian Church in Belmont, Ma. , Paramus Presbyterian Church of New Jersey, Evangelical Church of Toronto, Ont. and the Armenian Evangelical Church of New York.

Alice had a good and gentle soul. Her smile and humility were her signature characteristics; her social interactions were always well received. She was loved and respected by all wherever she went.

Alice was predeceased by her loving parents and her two sisters Marika and Kenar. She leaves behind the rest of her relatives and friends.
